Garden Spread

The day after Damon becomes the Prince's lover, his Prince invites him out to the palatial gardens.

It's one of those warm summer days in Egypt where the air is dry and the sun bears down hot on the ground, but in the shade of pergolas strung through with climbing vines, the breeze is bearable, even if it makes Damon's skin prickle with sweat. Crown Prince Kha watches him from the corner of his eyes. The army of a man has been studying Damon for a while, through the month they were strictly friends, and Damon knows his interest today is not at all platonic. A thrill of heat shivers all the way between his legs, and Damon sucks a breath in.

Because his Prince is watching, he dips the next finger into honey, coating it from tip to knuckle, and brings it drizzling up to his mouth, licking it from base to tip, swallowing away tart sweetness. The Prince's eyes darken. Damon turns his finger around, flattens his tongue against it, and laps away the rest of the honey, fragrant with the faintest scent of fig.

"You seem interested in this, my Prince," he says quietly, dipping his finger back into the earthen jar. When he pulls it back out, it drips with gold, and Damon raises it to his Prince's lips. "Would you like to try some?"

There are benefits to being the Prince's lover, such as an extraordinary supply of honey, but it doesn't quite compare to the way Kha takes his finger into his hot, hot mouth and sucks slowly on it, his tongue wet and soft under Damon's finger, lips clinging to his skin.

Damon's thoughts are, very suddenly, not concerning honey in the slightest.

"My Prince!" he gasps, his throat suddenly dry like the sprawling sand dunes, and Kha's gaze is red-brown and intense. He knows every bit what he's doing to Damon, and his tongue trails over the very end of Damon's finger, flicking along its underside. Just like that, Damon is hard.

The Prince releases his hand, his lips wet, and it takes Damon long breaths to figure out that he's supposed to follow his Prince along the pebbled path through the gardens.
